Throwback to my very first blog post from 2015 … I still think the same

For those of you who are big fans of the Burt’s Bees brand, this is exciting news! The makers of the much loved lip balm have introduced a lip colour worth talking about. Crowned the Runner Up in the 2015 marieClaire beauty awards, the Burt’s Bees Lip Crayon has already created a big buzz.

Personally I’m a fan of the crayon craze and was pretty impressed that Burt’s Bees got onto that bandwagon as well. Their packaging is one of the better ones I’ve seen on a crayon, with a twist tube, so no need to sharpen. The lid has a cute honeycomb design. Very nice touch.
There are 6 shades, all very on trend and wearable.

It’s a luxuriously creamy formula, which for a matte lip product is just what we were craving, especially in winter.
I would probably call this a semi matte finish as although well pigmented they still have a satin feel.

And of course the main advantage is that they are a 100% natural and not tested on animals, just like all the other Burt’s Bees products.

They are infused with Shea Butter, Kendi Oil, and Jojoba to inject the much needed moisture.

Overall, a great lip product. It’s full of goodness like the balm, but with a touch of colour for something extra. It will make a great transition for those who don’t like to use lipstick.

Give it a try.

This post was written almost 2 years ago on my old blog. I thought I’ll repost it as I’ve come across some new Burt’s Bees products that excited me. Have a look on my Instagram @makeupconnection to see more 😄…

Till next time
